The main goal of a low carbohydrade, ketosis diet plan is to achieve a metabolic state called ketosis. This is simply an age old, normal metabolic state in which the body burns a kind of fat called ketones, instead of glucose, for fuel.
Ketosis dieting is a beneficial process whose historic purpose is to help the body survive when no food is available. Also, it has been shown to improve and reduce the likelihood of various disease and conditions such as cancer, epilepsy, Alzheimer’s, autism and others.
